On 2/10/2025 at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced Required inspection at the above Family Childcare Home (FCCH). LPA met with Licensee, Cinthia Araiza, Assistant, Maria Quijada and discussed the purpose of the inspection. FCCH operates Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Licensee provides care for children aged 4 months to 13 years old

LPA and Licensee toured the inside and outside of the home, there were eight (8) children present. Accessible areas are the family room that has been transformed into a day care space, dining area, kitchen and backyard. LPA observed the backyard is fully enclosed by a wooden fence. The backyard for day care is enclosed separating from the personal use backyard. The (3) bedrooms and garage are not accessible to children. LPA observed that required forms are posted in prominent location. Combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and found functional. Age-appropriate toys, books, playpen, and equipment were observed in the home. Children’s bathroom is free of toxins. Sharps, medicines, and toxins are stored in the area inaccessible to children in care. The regulation fire extinguisher was purchased on 1/15/2025. Nobodies of water was observed. Licensee stated there are on guns or ammunition in the home.

LPA reviewed the facility file and found that the Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate is current with expiration date of 1/29/2027 while Mandated Reporter Training expires on 1/30/2027. Children’s records were reviewed and found complete. Childcare facility roster is current. Infants in care have (LIC 9227) Infant Safe Sleep Plan completed at the time of enrollment. Licensee and Assistant also check napping infant every 15 minutes. Fire and disaster drill is conducted every 6 months, last drill was conducted on 1/23/2025. LPA reviewed the Control of Property, Landlord Notification and Landlord Consent, are on file.

Licensee, was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Childcare Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA also informed licensee, the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

The FCCH is not providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS). IMS policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee, Cinthia Araiza was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During the exit interview, the LICENSEE, Cinthia Araiza confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

In the areas evaluated, no deficiencies were cited.


A notice of site visit was given to Licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
