On August 3, 2022 at 9:58 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Frank Pedroza conducted an announced Prelicensing inspection. LPA met with Director Cheri Diaz and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There was no children in care at the time of the inspection. Facility hours of operation are Monday thru Thursday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday. Facility will have a Toddler option.

LPA observed the required licensing documents mounted on the wall in a prominent location. Facility will provide two (2) snacks daily for children. Children will bring their own lunch from home. The facility will be using four (4) classrooms for children in care. One classroom will be for preschool children. Two (2) classrooms will be for toddlers 18 - 36 months. One (1) classroom will be used for both age groups on a staggered schedule where children will learn how to prepare food items. LPA observed each classroom had age appropriate toys, activities, and furniture readily accessible for children in care. The facility has enough toilets and sinks readily available for children in care. The facility will provide sleep mats for children during quiet time should they choose to sleep. The facility has three (3) outdoor recreation yards with age appropriate toys and structures. One (1) of the yards is the facility parking lot. During operating hours the gate will be closed and secured preventing people from driving into the parking lot. Facility plans to use the parking lot as a blacktop for children to ride bikes and other activities. Water will be available for children inside and out. Facility has water filtration devices installed in the preschool classroom and Toddler yard to provide water for children/staff. Facility will be using the Brightwheel electronic application for sign-in/sign-out.

LPA provided and reviewed the LIC 311A detailing the records to be maintained at the facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. LPA discussed information about capacity, ratios, current Covid-19 , and safe sleep requirements.
