25 | On May 6, 2025, at 2:15 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Bill Billones and Elizabeth George conducted an unannounced Annual Random inspection of the abovementioned Large Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPAs met with licensee Jacqueline Vasquez-Alvarado, and informed them of the purpose of the visit. LPAs, in the company of the Licensee toured the interior and exterior of the facility and observed required documents posted in a publicly accessible area of the facility. The hours of operation are 4:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday – Friday, and 2:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Saturday. During the inspection, licensee arrived at the home at 2:48 PM after picking up additional day care children from school. LPAs observed 9 children in care, along with licensee and 1 staff providing care and supervision.
The home is a single story 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. The FCCH operates out of the living room, 1 bedroom, dining room, kitchen, 1 bathroom, and a backyard outdoor play area. The rest of the home is excluded from child care. The rooms used for child care were observed to be clean, organized, and appropriately furnished. The bathroom was observed to be clean and in working order.
LPAs observed a dual carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm which was tested at 3:01 PM and found to be operable. LPAs observed disinfectants, toxins, and cleaning solutions, medicines, and sharps are stored in top shelf kitchen cabinet, making them inaccessible to children. LPAs observed a regulation fire extinguisher that was last serviced on 08/07/2024 and noted last fire drill was conducted 12/20/2024. The outdoor yard area is enclosed by cinder block fencing and a wooden latched gate. Part of the yard to sectioned off with a baby gate. Outdoor toys are age appropriate. Licensee states vaccines are kept up to date for one dog present in the home. No bodies of water were observed. Licensee states no firearms or ammunition are stored on site. CONTINUED ON 809-C.
