This is a change of location, previous License no. was 426215590.
On July 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection. Prior to inspection, LPA asked Applicant Pre- Screening questions related to COVID-19, applicant’s responses to the Pre-screening questions suggest no COVID-19 exposure on site. LPA met with applicant Ms. Danielle Taff and discussed the purpose of the inspection. There were no children present during the inspection.

LPA conducted the physical plant tour of the home. During this tour the following was noted: Applicant applied for a Change of Location on July 6, 2022. All adults in the home are fingerprint cleared. Per Applicant, the operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Applicant states she wants to care for children from 0 month to 13 years of age.

All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is a 2 story home composed of 6 bedrooms and 4 baths. Living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms downstairs and fenced backyard will be accessible to day care children in addition to a dedicated day care room. The second floor is off limit with a baby gate in the stair case making it inaccessible to day care children. Garage is also an off limit area. All hazardous items, poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines and items that can pose a danger to children are kept inaccessible to day care children. LPA observed the day care play area to be safe with age appropriate toys, games and books. The back yard is enclosed with wooden fence. There are no bodies of water observed. Applicant stated guns and ammunition are separately stored and locked in a safe.

The required fire extinguisher 2A10BC was serviced on July 20, 2022. Dual smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested at 11:54 AM and were functioning at the time of the visit.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with applicant and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed applicant of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Notice of Site Visit was issued. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Applicant, Ms. Danielle Taff

The fire safety inspection clearance was granted on July 20. 2022. The home meets Title 22 Division 12 requirements of a Large FCCH, License is effective today, July 25, 2022.
