25 | On August 30, 2023 12:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Villanueva made an unannounced visit to conduct a Required - 1 Year Inspection. LPA met with licensee, Danielle Taff and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA and Licensee toured the interior and exterior of the home. Licensee and 2 assistants were caring for 10 children at the time of the inspection.
The home is a 6 -bedroom, 4- bath 2- story home. The licensee uses the family room, living room, dining area, kitchen, one bedroom, two bathrooms and the backyard for childcare. The upstairs bedrooms, two bathrooms, and garage are off limits and are inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed a screened fireplace in the family room making it inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed age appropriate toys, teaching materials, and furnishings available for children in care in good condition and free of hazards. Licensee has a secured fence in the backyard and age appropriate toys for children in care, found in good condition and free of hazards. All adults in the home are fingerprint cleared. LPA observed toxins on the sink counter, drawers, and cabinet under sink bathroom children use. Assistant removed all items and placed them in boxes. A regulation 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed with a service date of 8/23/23. Licensee is reminded to service or purchase the fire extinguisher yearly. LPA observed infants using blankets. LPA reminded licensee that blankets are prohibited for infants. Licensee stated guns and ammunition are stored separately and locked in a safe.
No bodies of water were observed on site. Detergents and cleaning compounds are stored in the latched closed laundry room. LPA observed a carbon monoxide and smoke alarm detector in the hallway.
Licensee's Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate is valid until 07/22/25. AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificate is valid until 7/22/25. Licensee last completed an emergency disaster drill on 4/25/23. All required forms including Notification of Parent's Rights are prominently posted for parent's or authorized representatives to view. A roster of children in care was observed current and complete. All children records were reviewed, and LPA observed Identification and Emergency Notification forms (LIC 700) and a copy of immunization records on file. .
