25 | On 11/15/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with regard to a change of capacity. LPA met with Licensee Amanda Luna and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. LPA notes 4 children are on site along with an Assistant (cleared and associated, spouse) providing care and supervision.
LPA toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH with the Licensee. LPA notes the home is clean and orderly. Further, LPA observed child safety gates at the entries of the bedrooms and the living room of the home. The Licensee's training and certifications are current and the home's smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are operable (tested 10:57 AM).
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Amanda Luna. A fire clearance from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department was received by CCLD on 10/6/23, granting the FCCH a capacity of 14. As such, the home meets Title 22 Division 12 requirements of a Large FCCH License. Effective date of license will be noted as the present, 11/15/23.
No deficiencies were cited during today's visit.
Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) and a Notice of Site visit was given to Licensee. Notice of Site must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements may result in a civil penalty of $100. |
