On May 12th, 2023, at 8:45 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Gigi Reyes and Dixie Wright conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection and met with Applicant, Priscilla Salcido. LPAs asked pre screening questions related to COVID-19, applicant's responses indicate there are no COVID-19 exposure on site. LPAs discussed the purpose of the inspection. The Family Child Care Home hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

LPAs in the company of the applicant toured the home inside and outside. This is a one story home with three bedrooms and two baths. Areas accessible to children will be the play room, living room, dining, hallway, bathroom, and the backyard. One of the bedrooms will be used as a napping room. Off limit areas are the two other bedrooms, one bathroom and the garage. LPA observed age appropriate toys, equipment, cots and play pens. Kitchen cabinets have plastic latches. First Aid/CPR expires on 02/11/2025. Mandated Reporter training expires on 06/19/2023. Orientation was completed on 01/07/2023. Preventative Health training was taken on 04/13/2023. The 2A10 BC fire extinguisher was purchased on 04/02/2023. The carbon monoxide detector was tested and functioning. Smoke detectors are wired and there is a fire pull station near the back sliding door. Hazardous items are kept inaccessible to children in care. LPAs observed a hot tub with the proper covering and is locked. Applicant stated there are no guns and ammunition in the home. The back yard is enclosed with a wooden and brick fences. The control of property was reviewed and signed consent form is in place. .

Applicant was reminded that AB 1207 and Pediatric CPR should be renewed every 2 years. Applicant stated she does not have liability insurance at this time. LPA discussed the requirement for care providers/employees, including volunteers to obtain immunization against Influenza, Pertussis, Measles, including verification of TB. Applicant's verification is on file.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated

LPA also informed applicant of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment

LPA discussed the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Section 102426 Overnight Care with the applicant .


LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted. Children's record keeping requirements were reviewed.

Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform.

The fire clearance was granted on 4/27/2023. Large Family Child Care Home License was issued and effective today, 5/12/2023.



Notice of Site Visit was issued, The notice shall be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100.00 civil penalty. Appeal Rights were given and explained.
