25 | On August 24st, 2023, at 8:51AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an announced inspection for the purpose of performing a Case Management - Change of Location. LPA met with licensee Sarah Brewer and discussed the purpose of the inspection. This is a change of location for the Family Child Care Home (FCCH) license no. 426214212. At the time of the inspection there were zero (0) children present.
LPA and licensee together toured the interior and exterior of the home. Per licensee, the operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:45am-5:15pm.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is a single-story home which consists of three (3) bedrooms, two (2) restrooms, one (1) living room, kitchen, dining room, garage, and outdoor play area. The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Residing in the home are licensee, husband, and three (3) children (under the age of 18). All adults have been criminally cleared.
Licensee stated that children will have access to: living room, dining room, one (1)bathroom, and outdoor play area. Bathroom and cabinets included are secured by exterior and interior locks when not in use.
Off limited areas excluded from childcare are identified as: All three bedrooms, garage, laundry room (secured by locks), and kitchen secured by gate.
There are age-appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. Knives and medication for the family are stored out children’s reach, inaccessible to children, locked/gated/elevated cabinet in the kitchen. The outdoor area has perimeter fencing, ample shade, age-appropriate equipment, and no bodies of water present.
