25 | On 9/5/25, at 12:15 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Sapien conducted an unannounced annual random inspection visit of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Aide Diaz, Licensee of the FCCH, and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. The LPA, in the company of Licensee, toured the FCCH. The home is a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom single story home. The areas that are accessible for day care children are as follows: living room (main day care room), dining room, master bedroom, one bathroom, and the backyard. The remainder of the home, including the other two bedrooms, garage, and front yard, are excluded from childcare services. Inaccessible rooms and areas are made secure by child safety locks and gates. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed 5 day care children present, one of which was an infant. In addition to the Licensee, LPA also observed the Licensee's spouse helping with the care and supervision of children (cleared and associated). Later in the visit, LPA also observed one of the Licensee's biological children arrive at the FCCH who helps with the care and supervision of children (cleared and associated).
LPA observed the FCCH to be clean and orderly. The bathroom, utilized for childcare, is clean and free of toxins. LPA observed bathroom cabinets to have child safety locks and to be free of any hazardous items. LPA observed personal medications stored on top of the refrigerator. No children currently require medication. Primary cleaning solutions are stored in elevated areas in the garage, an inaccessible area of the day care. Sharps are stored in elevated kitchen drawers.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys, furnishings, and equipment throughout the living room. In the main day care room, LPA observed a few storage compartments in the room that contained items related to the day care. LPA observed a wood burning fireplace that is enclosed by glass. Licensee informed LPA that the fireplace is not used during day care hours. Licensee informed LPA that there are two cats present on site (CONT. 809-C, Page 2)
