25 | On July 26th, 2023, at 10:46am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection. LPA met with Director Jacqueline McDonough and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. This facility was granted and Emergency Approval to Operate on June 30th, 2023, and at the time of the inspection there were nine children (9) and four (4) staff present. The facility operates Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm offering full day services.
LPA observed the required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the facility including daily schedule. The facility uses written logs for the purposes of signing in and out in tandem with ChildPlus App for staff. The facility utilizes two (2) rooms for infant care, one (1) playroom and one (1) nap room, divided and gated with lock. LPA observed age appropriated toys, equipment, and soft furnishings, ventilation, and individual cubbies for children in care. Food service area is separated from play and nap room, and at the time of the inspection, was clean, gated and secured. LPA observed four (4) cribs, with soft padding, washable surface which are disinfected daily, and individual tight fitted sheets stored separately and washed weekly. Director states they maintain two (2) back up cribs. Facility also maintains mats for rest. LPA observed two (2) indoor changing tables with sinks within arms reach, and facility maintains trash bins with tight fitting lids. LPA observed all toxins, poisons, combustibles, tools, and sharps that would pose a danger to children rendered inaccessible, and first aid kits are available. Facility maintains an area to isolate children should they become ill throughout the day. Fire extinguisher was last serviced on 4/11/2023. Per director, no firearms are ammunition are on the property.
