32 | CCCs constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.
The CCC’s outdoor play area is enclosed by a combination of cinder block and chain linked fencing. The fence's entry/exit gates are secured. LPA observed a shed in the play area that is locked and contains CCC supplies. LPA observed age-appropriate toys/play equipment in the play area. The toys/play equipment are free of sharp, loose or pointed objects and there is adequate cushioning to absorb falls. There is an abundance of shade in the area that is created by building overhangs. No bodies of water were observed on site.
Staff and children’s records were reviewed. At 12:30 PM, LPA notes that C1, C2, and C3’s files do not contain LIC 627, LIC 613A, LIC 995A, or LIC 701 forms. The children’s records do contain immunization records, admissions agreements, and emergency contact information. Staff records were reviewed. At 12:45 PM, LPA notes S1 has not completed any postsecondary units in early childhood education or child development. LPA notes S1 enrolled in course ECE 100, Child Growth and Development, as of 10/13/2025. The remainder of the staff’s files are current with CPR/First Aid certifications and TB clearance. Director informed LPA no firearms/weapons or ammunition are stored on the premises.
