On 11/07/24, at 1:15 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Elizabeth George and Giovani Gonzalez conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection at the above-mentioned residence. LPAs met with applicant Jimena Jaramillo and husband and informed them of the purpose of this inspection. Applicant stated her operating hours of the Family Child Care Home (FCCH) will be Monday – Saturday from 5AM to 5:30PM. Applicant intends to care for children 0 months to 12 years of age. Applicant's infant child was present at the time of the inspection.

LPAs in the company of the applicant toured the interior and exterior of the home in its entirety. The residence is a three bedroom, two and a half bathroom single story home. The home's family room, dining room, kitchen, half bathroom and backyard play area will be used for child care services. The three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, nook/dining area, patio room and garage will be excluded.

LPAs observed the home to be clean and orderly. LPAs observed the home has sufficient space and ventilation for children in care. LPAs observed that medications are stored in the kitchen on a high shelf out of reach of children as well as in the master bedroom inaccessible to children in care. The family room and dining room are intended to be the primary use for the daycare. LPAs observed age appropriate toys and equipment. LPA's observed the bathroom to be used for children is free of hazards and toxins. Sharps in the home are located in a locked drawer as well as on the kitchen counter beyond children's reach. LPAs advised applicant on moving the sharps located on top of the counter top in the case she has older children in care. Cleaning compounds are secured under the kitchen sink as well as in the laundry room which is inaccessible to children and excluded from care.

The backyard is enclosed by wood fencing. The play area intended for children is fenced on both sides with a latched gate. LPAs observed brick as flooring in the backyard play area. Age appropriate toys were observed in the backyard. LPAs observed no bodies of water on site. Applicant informed LPAs that there are no firearms or ammunition in the home.
