32 | In all facility classrooms, LPA observed a variety of age-appropriate equipment, toys and materials including cribs, tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, in good condition and in sufficient quantity to allow children present to fully participate in planned activities. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed furniture and equipment free of sharp, loose or pointed parts, and floor surfaces clean.
Infant classrooms are physically separate from those of toddlers to avoid comingling. LPA observed a variety of age-appropriate washable toys and equipment, bottle warmers, waste receptacles with tight fighting lids. Classroom changing tables are present within arm’s reach of sink, with a padded surface no less than one-inch thick and covered with washable vinyl. Infants nap in designated nap room in cribs. Present in room is one large chair for staff supervision, 1 sink and 1 changing table. LPA advised licensee facility must follow Title 22 and Health & Safety Code regarding Safe Sleep at all times.
Toddler classrooms provide a variety of activities, playing toys and games. LPA observed sufficient quantity of cots for rest, ample ventilation and accessibility to toilets and sinks.
Carbon monoxide is present and functioning at the time of the inspection. Fire extinguisher last serviced on 11/13/2025. Poison, toxins and other items which may pose harm to children are in staffing area inaccessible to children. Per licensee, no firearms or ammunition are present on property.
Infant outdoor play area is separate from that of toddlers by use of fencing and provides ample shade, a variety of age-appropriate toys, and access to water. Toddler outdoor are consists of padding to absorb falls, sandbox, water readily accessible, and age-appropriate equipment. Per center director, no bodies of water are present on the property.
Fire clearance was approved by San Barbara County Fire Dept. on 11/4/2025.
