Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Samantha Yip and Corteny Nelson conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection. LPA met with Maria Quintero, Teacher, and explained the reason for the inspection. Maria informed LPAs that Site Supervisor Perlina Chavez is currently not present. Present during the inspection were two staff and 7 children. All staff present have cleared fingerprints.

There is board to post required postings. There is working phone on the premise. LPAs toured the inside of Room 5 and outside of Room 4 and 5. Maria stated that Room 4 is not currently being used; LPAs were unable to tour Room 4. LPAs was observed that the room was clean. Toy and equipment were observed to be in good condition and age appropriate. LPAs reminded Maria that any disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer needs to be inaccessible to children. LPAs observed that there two containers with disinfectants and hand sanitizer on a cart, which was inaccessible to children. Maria moved the containers to higher shelf where it was inaccessible to children. All other cleaning supplies and disinfectants were observed to be inaccessible to children. LPAs observed that there was a hammer under the shelf. LPA reminded to ensure that any tools are inaccessible to children. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector.

The outdoor area is fenced. Areas around play equipment had resilient material to absorb fall. Shaded rest area is provided through trees. LPAs observed that there was a pair of pruners in the shed next to the door. LPA reminded staff that anything sharp needs to be inaccessible.

Due to Site Supervisor not being present and there being only one staff present, children's and staff's file were unable to be reviewed.

As a result of this inspection, no deficiencies were cited. An exit interview was conducted where this report was discussed and provided to Maria Quintero. A Notice of Site Visit has been issued and must be posted for 30 consecutive days.

Facility was informed that the Annual Inspection will continue and be completed at a later date.
