3 staff files were also reviewed. The records reviewed include but not limited to transcript and Mandated Reporter training. S-1 last completed the mandated reporter training on 02/2022 and S-2 last completed the general mandated reporter training on 03/2019. S-3 was hired on 07/01/2022 and has not completed training yet. LPA reminded Site Director that training requires renewal every two years and to check that staff are completing the child care provider training. There is an staff on the infant program on site that has a valid CPR/1st Aid, which expires on 08/12/2023. Staff works from 7AM to 4PM. Director understands that there needs to be at least one staff with a valid CPR/1st Aid on site during hours of operation.
All staff present have cleared fingerprints. Site Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
As a result of this inspection, three type B citations were issued. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Site Director, Perlina Chavez.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
