25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA's) Anna Morales and Joe Macias conducted a Case Management/ Increase of Capacity Inspection. The purpose of today’s visit is to ensure the facility is in compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations. LPA's met with Program Specialist Whitney Lukanc, LPA's toured the Facility both inside and outside during todays inspection. LPA's bserved the required posted materials, including the Facility License, Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610), Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC 9148), Parents' Rights Poster (PUB 393), Personal Rights (LIC 613A), Child Car Seat Law (PUB 269), and Activity Schedule.
Santa Clara County Unified School District recently submitted an application for the purpose of increasing the capacity of the facility. The current approved capacity is licensed for 88. The space required for the increase of capacity is the addition of the new Portable #30. The facility is requesting to provide care and supervision to 112 children.
Facility's operating days and hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM in Rooms 25, 26 (Summer schedule). Room 27 is used by the Briarwood State Preschool children only during school year August - first week of June. The room is not in use during the summer.Currently, the site is closed. Currently enrolled children will continue to receive services at Bracher Children Center,#43074133.
LPA's toured and measured the indoor and outdoor areas of the facility during today's inspection.
Indoor Activity Space:
In Classroom 25: 1,230.35-127.24(encumbered)=1,103.11sq ft. Classroom has three toilets and three sinks, and 17 mats
In Classroom 26: 1,458.8-106.83(encumbered)=1,351.75 sq ft. Classroom has four toilets and three sinks and 22 mats.
In Classroom 27 (State Preschool): 917.54-209.85(encumbered)=707.70 sq ft
In Classroom 30 (Portable): 897 sq ft -61.35(encumbered)=835.65 sq ft.
Total = 3,998.21 divided by 35=114 students
