On 12/02/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer "Jen" Beehler conducted an unannounced 10 Day Complaint investigation. Upon arrival, LPA was greeted by the Assistant Director and provided access to the facility. LPA stated the reason for the visit and toured the inside of the facility and collected the census. LPA observed 37 preschool children and four (4) teachers and one (1) Director which is compliant with ratio and capacity requirements.

LPA observed classrooms to be 54 degrees and 58 degrees during today's inspection. LPA observed portable heaters installed in the classroom windows and jackets were on the children. Staff stated a car accident had caused utilities to be shut off until they could be repaired. Currently the facility did not have gas to run the heat. Staff stated the utility company has been in contact with them and has been working to repair the gas line and reconnect it, but there have been unexpected issues delaying the repairs. The utility company stated the gas would be reconnected on Monday 12/01/2025 and again today on 12/02/2025, but the gas line is not repaired at this time.

Facility to create a plan to ensure the facility has a safe and comfortable enviornment for children in care. Facility to provide this plan to the Department within 24 hours to ensure children are safe and comfortable until the gas line is restored.

This requirement has not been met as evidenced by: LPA observed classrooms to have a temperature of 54 - 58 degrees in all preschool classrooms. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety and personal rights of children in care.
