Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer “Jen” Beehler made an unannounced complaint investigation inspection. LPA met with Site Director Maggie Corral and shared the reason for the inspection was to deliver findings.

LPA interviewed the reporting party (RP) and received photographic evidence of unexplained injuries. No “ouch” reports were obtained for the RP’s child during the on site record review. LPA reached out to 10 (ten) parents and 6 (six) parents were interviewed. No parents witnessed a child hurting another child and staff not intervening. No parent witnessed staff harming a child or treating them in a rough manner. All parents were satisfied with the level of care their child was receiving. Staff was interviewed and had not witnessed staff harming children or treating them in a rough manner. Staff all had similar procedures to handle children when they were harming each other.

Based on parent interviews, staff interviews, observations and evidence gathered during the investigation process, it is concluded that although the allegations noted on this complaint may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur. The allegations are thus UNSUBSTANTIATED.

No deficiencies cited during today's inspection.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Site Director, Maggie Corral. Appeals rights were provided.
