Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Mandeep Kaur and Syhshyan "Shine" Yu met with the Site Director, Megan Eitzen, and explained purpose of visit- to deliver complaint investigation findings.

During the course of the complaint investigation, LPA Kaur conducted observations and interviews. Interviews revealed there was a random smell in Room 2 bathroom. There was a urine smell at the start of the school year. Parents had raised some concerns and staff reported that they are getting children potty trained. On occasions, children have accidents and staff clean with paper towels. During this transition, the staff confirmed there was a smell but couldn’t clean with bleach while children are in care. LPA conducted observations and did not smell any odor in the classrooms.

Based on interviews conducted, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. However, LPA Kaur determined that there is no impact to the children in care that presented any danger and did not affect the overall operation of the facility. This is considered a technical violation, and no citation is being issued at this time.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Site Director, Megan Eitzen. Appeal rights were provided and discussed.
