Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ashley Lopez conducted a Case Management visit and met with Assistant Director Mylene Ignacio. This visit was conducted in response to Licensee's request to remove the Toddler Option Component from the Preschool and add Room J back into the preschool. The preschool's days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.

The indoor measurements are as followed:
Preschool INDOOR MEASUREMENTS (Previously measured by LPAs Rangel and Mac 10/16/2019)
A1: 34.333 x 29.917 minus 30.624 (encumbered space) = 996.516 square feet
A2: 34.750 x 18.667 + 10.500 x 7.667 + 28.667 x 14.833 minus 18.696 (encumbered space) = 1,135.703 square feet
D: 34.500 x 27 minus 20.066 (encumbered space) = 911.434 square feet
I: 24.583 x 39.583 minus 34.703 (encumbered space) = 938.365 square feet
E: 30 x 22.583 minus 7.080 (encumbered space) = 670.410 square feet
F: 23.583 x 39.083 minus 100.73 (encumbered space) = 820.964 square feet
J: 24.167 x 39.583 minus 34.391 (encumbered space) = 922.211 square feet

By adding Toddler Option Space to Preschool Program:
Total Preschool Indoor space 6,395.603 square feet divided by 35 = 182.732 (preschool children).

In Room J there are 3 sinks and 3 toilets available for children. No Changes for Indoor Settings were observed during today's inspection for the Preschool room.

The outdoor space measurements were taken on 10/16/19 by LPA Rangel as follows:
Playground 1/Front Playground: total = 103.583 x 10.083 + 110.667 x 15.5667 + 6.500 x 23.667 + 54.750 x 74.750 + 45.333 x 40.833 minus 276.676 encumbered = 8,599.04 square feet

The following outdoor measurements were taken on 1/28/19 by LPA Rangel:
Playground 2/Back Playground: total = 125.750 x 102 + 9.333 x 10.667 + 30.250 x 9.750 + 16 x 6.583 + 4.417 x 5 + 14.5 x 9.167 + 28.667 x 29.167 = 14,317.426 square feet
Total outdoor space: 8,599.04 + 14,317.426 square feet divided by 75 = 305 (preschool children).

The fire clearance was granted on 8/2/23. No changes for outdoor settings were observed during today's inspection for the Preschool. Based on today's inspection, the physical plant meets the requirement for licensure with a capacity of 180 Preschool children. The request to remove the Toddler Option Component and add Room J back to the Preschool license is pending for management final review and approval.

There were no deficiencies cited during today’s visit. Exit interview was conducted with Assistant Director Mylene Ignacio.

A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED, POSTED NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF THE FACILITY AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
