25 | On January 24, 2023, at 11:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with licensee Venus Lara for an Unannounced Required 1 Year Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. Present during the inspection was the licensee's fingerprint cleared husband, L. Peralta. There were no children during inspection. The licensee is in ratio today. Licensee stated that the facility operates from Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
LPA toured the facility inside and outside to conduct a Health and Safety inspection. This single story home was clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children in care. The Isolation area of the home will be a section of the family room, away from other children in care.
There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present in the on-limit areas during today's inspection. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection.
The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, and telephone. There’s a fireplace in the family room that has a barricade/screen to prevent access by children. Per licensee, there are no firearms in the home. LPA asked the licensee does she transport children and the licensee stated that she does not transport children.
On- Limit areas are the: Living and dining room, family room, bathroom next to living room, bedroom (2) in hallway, bathroom in hallway next to bedroom (2), Bedroom (3) and backyard
Off- Limit areas are the: Bedroom (1), bedroom (4), kitchen, and laundry room area
The kitchen and laundry area will be utilized as a walk through only to gain access to the bedroom (3) room pass the kitchen and laundry area.
