32 | It was alleged that; Facility is operating out of ratio and Teacher left children with teacher’s Aide. Based on interviews and observation, staff stated there is always a teacher with an aide when children are present and awake. All staff stated aides are not allowed to care for children alone, and a teacher must supervise an aide when children are present. Staff 5 (S5) stated on 9/11/2024, she was informed about a teacher switch because the main teacher went to use the bathroom and another staff came in to replace the teacher to avoid being out of ratio. During tour with director, LPA observed staff to children ratio is being followed.
It was alleged that; Facility does not maintain comfortable temperature in the classroom. Based on interviews and record review, Staff 1 (S1) stated on August 29, 2024 emails to the property management (River Rock Real estate Group) with concerns about the broken AC system and the plan on getting the AC repaired. On 9/24/2024, director informed LPA the AC system was repaired and running. Staff 2, staff 3, and staff 4 stated any disrepair's, or broken appliances/systems, will notify the director. LPA observed during today's visit the AC system is working and running cold air in all preschool classrooms.
Based on interviews, record reviews, observations, and evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, it is concluded that although the allegations noted on this complaint may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur. The allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
