Facility provides Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. Foods are prepared at the facility. LPAs observed that food storage areas were clean and free of litter. Diapers are being disposed appropriately. Each child has personal items individually stored and labeled.
LPAs reviewed random ten (10) staff and ten (10) children files. Children records reviewed include Admission Agreement, Identification and Emergency Information, Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment, Parent Right's Receipt, Physician's Report with tuberculosis test, Child's Preadmission Health History, Immunization Record, and Personal Rights.
Staff records reviewed include Criminal Record and Child Abuse Index Clearance, Health Screening Report and TB test, Immunization (Measles, Pertussis, and Flu) record and required Training. LPAs reminded PCs that Mandated Reported Training (AB1207) needs to be renewed every two years. There was at least one person with current certification in Pediatric CPR and First Aid present at the facility.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPAs reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. PCs were reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
