25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kate Huang met with Licensee, Lin, Na for an unannounced annual inspection. LPA explained the nature of today’s inspection to Licensee. Present were licensee, one assistant, licensee's daughter, 2 infants and 6 preschoolers during today's inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:30pm. Adults residing at the home are licensee and her adult daughter.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home with the licensee during today’s inspection. Required posting materials were observed. LPA noted that there were sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment available for the daycare children. The home was clean, orderly, and well-organized.
The home has heating, cooling, and proper ventilation to ensure the comfort of the children. Indoor furniture and equipment were observed to be age-appropriate, in good condition, and free of sharp edges, loose parts, or pointed objects. No disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, or other hazardous items were observed to be accessible to children. LPA observed that the outdoor play equipment is age-appropriate and in good condition.
LPA observed that the licensee and her assistant have valid CPR certificates. LPA noted a current roster of children. A fire drill was conducted during the visit. The facility carries liability insurance.
LPA reviewed the files of five children present. All children have LIC 700, LIC 627, LIC 995, Immunization records. LPA checked staff's records, and all required documents were present. The licensee confirmed that there are no weapons present in the home.
