At 10:05 a.m., LPA inspected the backyard and confirmed that there are no pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water, in compliance with childcare licensing regulations. The outdoor play area includes equipment and furniture such as a basketball hoop, bench, playhouse, play tool workstation, balls, tricycles, blocks, ride-in wagon, and a small slide with cushioning underneath to absorb falls. The backyard is fully fenced and free from defects or dangerous conditions. A shed is present and secured with a lock to prevent children from accessing stored tools and equipment.
LPA inspected cabinets in the on-limit areas (Bedroom #1, hallway bathroom, and living room) and did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during the inspection. LPA tested the smoke detector in the hallway and the carbon monoxide detector in the living room; both were found to be functioning properly. The home is equipped with a working telephone, a first aid kit, and a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, meeting the standards established by the State Fire Marshal. There are two wall heaters, one in the living room, and one in the hallway—both equipped with protective barricades/screens to prevent access by children. The fireplace is blocked by furniture and also has a barricade/screen to prevent access by children.
At 10:30 a.m., LPA requested and reviewed the files of six (6) children in care. All files contained the required documentation, including Identification and Emergency Information, Parent’s Rights, and Medical Consent forms. LPA also reviewed the health records of the licensees and children and found that the licensees are in compliance with immunization laws applicable to childcare providers.
The licensees conduct and document fire and disaster drills at least once every six months, with the most recent drill conducted on October 16, 2025. The licensees have completed the required Health and Safety training, and their CPR and First Aid certifications are current, expiring in December 2027. Additionally, the licensees completed Mandated Reporter Training on March 21, 2026. The facility roster was reviewed and accurately reflects both currently enrolled children and those no longer attending the facility. All required licensing documents are posted and visible for public review.
