25 | On February 10, 2026, at 9:05 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods conducted an Unannounced Annual/Random Inspection and met with Licensee Diki Lama. LPA disclosed the purpose of the visit and conducted a health and safety inspection, touring the facility both inside and outside. Present during the inspection were the licensee’s fingerprint-cleared husband, assistant, daughter, and son-in-law. All adults present in the home have received fingerprint clearance and are associated with the facility. Also present during the inspection were five children in care, including one preschool-age child and four infants. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The facility is a single-story home leased by the licensee and consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, family room, kitchen, dining area, front and backyard. The home was observed to be clean, orderly, and well maintained, and is equipped with centralized heating and ventilation to ensure the safety and comfort of children. The kitchen and dining areas are secured with doors to prevent children from freely accessing those areas.
On-limits areas include the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and one bedroom located on the left side past the front door. The designated isolation area is the bedroom(1), away from other children in care.
Off-limits areas include two bedrooms, one bathroom located through the family room, and the back and side yards. These areas are made inaccessible to children by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
At 9:15 AM, LPA inspected the front yard area and confirmed that no pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water were present, in compliance with childcare licensing regulations. The outdoor play area includes age-appropriate play equipment and outdoor furniture, such as benches, tricycles, bikes, mini slides, playhouses, and a swing set with a slide that is anchored to the ground with cushioning underneath to absorb potential falls. Trees provide shade for children during outdoor play, and tables and chairs are available for children to rest. LPA reminded the licensee to maintain 100% visual supervision while children are in the front yard area. The backyard is off-limits to children in care.
At 9:30 AM, LPA asked the licensee if she transports children in care. The licensee stated that she does not provide transportation. LPA also asked whether firearms are stored at the facility, and the licensee stated there are none.
