25 | On 12/15/2023 at 3:54pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Farida Raja, arrived to conduct an unannounced Required - 3 year inspection. LPA was granted access to the home by Licensee, Judy Trang Lee, and explained the nature of today’s inspection. LPA did not observe any children in care and licensee states that she has not been in operation since the past 2 years. The adults that reside in the home are licensee and spouse. Licensee has two minor children residing in the home.
LPA explained the inactive process to licensee and informed her that she can be inactive and contact Child Care Licensing when she decides to be operational again. Licensee stated that she does not want to be inactive. LPA conducted the required annual inspection. LPA and licensee toured the indoor area of the facility. Licensee does not have the required forms posted since she is not caring for children at present. LPA observed that the backyard was under renovation during today's inspection. Licensee states that she only plans to care for school age children. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 2:40 pm to 6:00 pm. LPA observed working smoke detector and a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
