25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kate Huang met with Licensee, Jiang, Changling for an unannounced annual inspection. LPA explained the nature of today’s inspection to Licensee. Present were licensee, licensee's parents, 4 infants and 3 preschoolers during today's inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00pm. Adults residing at the home are licensee and her parents. Licensee stated that her mother helped her supervise children but her father remained in the bedroom all day and didn't have any contact with the children.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home with the licensee during today’s inspection. Required posting materials were observed near the entrance of the home. LPA noted that there were sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment available for the daycare children. The home was clean, orderly, and well-organized.
The home has central heating, cooling, and proper ventilation to ensure the comfort of the children. Indoor furniture and equipment were observed to be age-appropriate, in good condition, and free of sharp edges, loose parts, or pointed objects. No disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, or other hazardous items were observed to be accessible to children. During nap time when infants were sleeping, one infant (C1) was observed sleeping with loose blanket in the crib, and another infant (C2) was observed sleeping with three objects (stuffed toys) in the crib.
The bathroom used by the children was in proper working condition, with clean and operable toilets and faucets. The facility’s outdoor area is enclosed with appropriate fencing. LPA observed that the outdoor play equipment is age-appropriate and in good condition.
LPA observed that both the licensee and her mother have current CPR/First Aid certifications. Additionally, LPA noted a current roster of children and a fire and disaster drill log, which shows they conduct drill at least every 6 months. |
