25 | LPA arrived on 11/9/2022 at 8:30AM and initiated the inspection prior to entering the facility: Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pete Hernandez , conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the home today. LPA met with Licensee, Renuka Gupta. The Licensee has two children of her own, one adult son (Clearances, TB and Criminal Record Statement are on file), and her (12) year old minor daughter, who lives in the home. The applicant and her spouse are the only adults that reside in the home There were 4 children present at the time of the inspection, two infants and two preschoolers, were present at the time of LPA arrival. Hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Fire drills were conducted every 6 months and logged; last entry was on 9/23/2022. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is orderly, and safe for the day care children. LPA toured the indoor or and outdoor areas of the home.
Off limit areas in the home: Master Bedroom, Master Bathroom, and attached Garage. Off limit areas outside the home: left and right sides of the backyard. Back yard had no bodies of water.
LPA observed 1 fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. There are working smoke & carbon monoxide detectors in the home. The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, other similar items and poisons are in the garage and are inaccessible to children.
LPA reviewed the files of 4 enrolled children and all of the required documentation is complete. LPA also reviewed the file for the Licensee and the Mandated reporter certificate and CPR/ First aid card were expired.
