25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pete Hernandez conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the home today. LPA met with Jessica Parry, Licensee, and explained the nature of today's visit to her. Also present today was licensee's spouse James Comfort and helper Jane Shruti. There were 10 day care children present at the time of LPA’s arrival: four infants and 4 preschoolers plus her two school-age children. Hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Licensee and her spouse and 2 minor children ages 13 and 9 years old live in the home.
LPA toured the indoor or and outdoor areas of the home. Fire drills are conducted are monthly and logged; last entry was 8/5/2022. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is orderly, and safe for the day care children. Off limit areas in the home are the master bathroom and bathroom, middle bedroom, kitchen, garage and 2 side yards..
LPA observed 2 fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguishers. There are working smoke & carbon monoxide detectors in the home with fire pull stations. LPA observed a fenced backyard. and a hot tub that is covered and locked. The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, other similar items and poisons are in the garage and are inaccessible to children.
LPA reviewed the files of 8 enrolled children, all the files have all of the required documentation and immunizations. LPA reviewed 2 Staff files and all the required documentation was in the files.
