Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Joel Segura, and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marilou Monico, met with Licensee, Beatris Sehhat, at the San Jose Regional Office today for a scheduled Informal Meeting. The purpose of today's meeting is to discuss the Licensee's compliance and ability to follow the Title 22 Regulations.

This Informal Meeting is a result of the following citation:
01/14/25 - Section 102423(a)(2) - Personal Rights - Licensee retrieved three daycare children (C1, C2, & C3) who were across the street from licensee's home unattended which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

LPM explained to Licensee that if there are continued deficiencies cited for the issues noted on this report, the Facility may be referred to legal department for possible administrative action, which could include revocation of the Facility license. The facility will be monitored for the next 12 months at the department's discretion to ensure that the facility is in compliance with the department regulations.

Licensee agreed to increase supervision, frequent headcounts, staff need to spread out in the backyard/playground to observe the children, and to check gates and doors to ensure they are closed. Licensee understood to report unusual incidents to Licensing within the Department's next business day followed by a written report within seven days following the occurrence.

Assembly Bill 633 (Child Care Parent Notification Requirements) and Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224) was also explained and provided to Licensee during today’s meeting.
