25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Deanna Villagrana and Teodoro Trujillo met with applicant Albert Rojas to conduct an announced pre-licensing inspection to the home today. The adults that reside in the home are the Applicant and his husband and aunt.
Days and hours of operation will be Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Applicant has completed her Preventative Health and Safety Child Care Training on 10/27/2021 and a copy of the certification is on file. Applicant's CPR and First Aid certifications are current and expire on 10/2023. Applicant rents the home and the Owner/Landlord Notification form (LIC 9149) is on file. Applicant does not have liability insurance and will issue affidavit regarding liability insurance for FCCH.
LPAs toured the indoor and outdoor areas during today's visit. The home is one of the units of a duplex. There are no stairs in the home. LPAs observed a barricaded fireplace in the home. Off limit areas inside the home: master bedroom/bath, two bedrooms, and the garage that is accessible from the front yard. LPAs observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide, fenced backyard, and no bodies of water. Outdoor activities will be conducted in the front yard. Licensee understands that children must be supervised at all times while playing outdoor. Applicant states that there are no weapons in the home. Cleaning Products, toxic agents, medications, and sharp objects were inaccessible to children. LPAs reminded Applicant that smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items are not allowed in Family Child Care Homes.
A review of staff records on 02/16/2022 indicates that all Facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. LPAs reminded Applicant of the applicable civil penalties for those adults who have not received fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the license and who come in contact with or provide care and supervision to the children.
