Second allegation stated that staff leave day care children soiled for an extended period of time. It was reported that a child’s diaper was not changed all day and was in the same diaper that the child was brought to school in. Based on the result of the investigation, children in the 2 to 3 year-old classroom go through potty training process. Staff and director stated that children’s diapers are checked and or changed 4 to 5 times a day. Activity schedule shows diaper changing schedule, and records revealed that staff track diaper checks through diaper change logs for each child. Through interviews with parents, there was no indication that a child had soiled diaper at time of pick up.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
No deficiency issued for the allegations. Appeal Rights provided.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
