25 | On 12/19/2024 at 9:48am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Farida Raja and Pedro Solorio-Gutierrez, met with Staff, Priti Pathak, for an unannounced annual/random inspection in the Preschool Program. LPAs informed staff regarding the purpose of the visit. Staff stated that Director will be at the facility shortly. Director, Sabrina Fenech arrived during the facility walk through. The facility is licensed to serve children ages 18 months to entry into first grade in the toddler and preschool rooms. Facility has an infant program (#434416176) at the same location. LPAs observed the required posted materials near the facility entrance and menus and lesson plans near the entrance to each classroom. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPAs and Director toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the Preschool Program during today's inspection and observed the following ratios:
Toddler Room A- 3 children: 2 staff
Toddler Room B- 5 children: 3 staff
Preschool Room- 15 children : 3 staff
Facility was in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement. Classrooms, children's restrooms, staff restrooms and kitchen were inspected. Children were engaged in various activities including circle time and table activities under visual supervision of teachers. Facility has central heating/cooling for comfort of children. Director states that there are no weapons or firearms on the premises. There is a working telephone at the facility. Disinfectants, cleaning products and medicines were observed to be stored inaccessible to the children in locked or high cabinets. Furniture and equipment were age appropriate and in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPAs observed solid waste containers with tight-fitting lids in the rooms. LPAs observed appropriate changing table that has raised sides and vinyl changing pad that is at least 1 inch thick in the toddler bathroom. Napping mats are appropriate. Restrooms and sinks for children were observed to be safe, sanitary, and in working condition. Staff has two separate bathrooms.
