32 | LPA observed the home is clean, orderly, and safe for the day care children. LPA also observed a screened fireplace. There are no open face heater units or stairs inside the home. The Licensee has the Living room, Play room, Atrium, Bathroom 1 primarily used for the day care. Off limit areas in the home: Kitchen/Office area, Attached Garage/Laundry, Master bedroom, Storage room inside the Master bedroom, Bedrooms 1 and 2. Off limit areas outside the home: gated left and right side of the backyard. There is a hot spa room in the backyard which has a latch lock, and spa has a cover on it. LPA observed that the spa room is being used as a storage, Licensee states that their spa is no longer in use due to maintenance difficulty.
LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, no bodies of water, and fenced backyard. The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons and pets in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other similar items are inaccessible to children. All poisons are stored in the locked cabinets by the kitchen. The Licensee states that she administers medication to the day care children.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
