Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Farida Raja conducted an unannounced complaint visit to deliver investigation findings for the above allegations. LPA met with Director, Geranny Natividad and Owner, Mohit Patel, and explained the purpose of today's visit. LPA conducted a facility walk through and observed a total of 98 children and 17 teachers within the classrooms and outdoor play areas toured at the facility.

On July 13, 2023, the department received a complaint alleging that staff handles daycare children in a rough manner and staff yells at daycare children. On July 19, 2023, Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Gladys Kuizon and LPA conducted an unannounced initial visit and interviewed 14 staff. LPA reviewed staff schedules, trainings, experience, and qualifications, obtained copies of relevant records and made facility observations in relation to the above allegations. Based on interviews, 14 out of 14 staff stated that they have not observed staff yelling at children or handling children in a rough manner.

On August 16 and 17, 2023, LPA contacted parents by phone and conducted interviews. All parents interviewed stated that they have not observed staff yelling at children or handling children in a rough manner.

Based on LPA observations during site visits, and staff and parent interviews, it is concluded that although the allegation listed above may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. The allegations are thus UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with Director, Geranny Natividad and Owner, Mohit Patel.

A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS.
