NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Pp1 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Collins conducted a site inspection of the facility today and met with Director Sujatha Namboodiri and office Admin. Sulakshana Shravage . LPA explained to her the purpose of the visit and inspected the facility inside and out. The inspection is in response to facility’s request for an increase in the Preschool License maximum capacity from 60 to 63 . The current census is today is 44 preschool children with (9) preschool teachers. A Fire Clearance has been granted on 10/06/21 for the preschool to have a capacity of 63 children. The facility did not construct additional space or make any structural changes to the physical plant to accommodate for the increase in capacity. However, per measurement taken of the indoor activity space during the Department's Pre-Licensing inspection on 2/22/2021, facility has a total indoor activity space for 65 Preschool Children. Also, facility has an adequate number of toilets, sinks and supplies for 63 Preschool Facility currently holds a playground waiver granted on 03/04/2021. LPA observed that the facility is following the stipulations of the waiver. The Preschool operates Monday through Friday from 08:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Based on today's inspection, the physical plant meets the requirement for licensure with a capacity of 63 Preschool children. The measurements were taken 2/22/21

There is a separate staff restroom in common area of preschool that will also be used by children who becomes ill.

Child Care Centers
Licensee Sujatha Namboodiri was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Safe Sleep

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee Sujatha Namboodiri discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
