25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anna Morales conducted an unannounced Annual Required visit and was greeted by Licensee Hilda Quintero and two assistants. Today's census is nine children. The Day Care hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm. The Licensee and her spouse are the only adults residing at the facility. LPA reviewed a current Child Care Facility Roster and Fire/Disaster drill log during today's inspection. Last disaster drill was completed on 6/24/24.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's inspection. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is clean, orderly, and safe. Off limit areas inside Licensee's home: two bedrooms, one bathroom, and garage. There are two rooms used for Day care(the Living room and Bedroom #1). The backyard has a secured fence and a patio cover and playground equipment. LPA observed resilient materials under the climbing structures. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher, working smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. No bodies of water observed. There is a covered fire place in the living room/day care room The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons. All detergents, cleaning compounds, poisons, medications, and other similar items are out of reach and inaccessible to children. LPA has a pet cat which does not mingle with the children.
