Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Collins conducted an Unannounced Pre-Licensing Inspection today. Upon arrival, LPA observed 32 children on site and 5 teachers. LPA met with Varsha Deodikar, Program Director. LPA explained the nature of today's inspection “The purpose of today's pre-licensing inspection is due to a change of ownership. The facility is currently in operation as a sole proprietor and requesting to be licensed as a corporation.
The facility was previously licensed under preschool facility #434415526. Director states No structural changes have been made or will be made to classroom locations, classroom, playground space, or capacity. An updated fire clearance inspection was conducted on 06/08/22 and clearance was granted for a maximum capacity of 38 preschool children ages 2 years to entry to first grade. The preschool will continue to use Rooms 1,3, and 4 for the children. Room #2 will to be used as the school office. The preschool will continue to use the playground in the back of the facility. The preschools operational hours are Monday through Friday 8:am-5:30pm. The working telephone number on site is 408 266-5432. All licensing documents required to be posted and visible to parents were observed.
There are three /45 toilets and four/60 sinks for children to use at the facility. A separate staff bathroom with 1 toilets and 1 sinks. The classroom is equipped with functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers (2-A-10-B:C),and first aid supplies. LPA observed adequate furniture, supplies, and learning materials. Windows have appropriate screens. Detergents and cleaning supplies are stored separate from food and inaccessible to the children. |
