32 | Licensees CPR and First Aid certificate is valid and expires on 12/10/2025. Licensees Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Providers is valid and expires on 06/05/2026 and 06/04/2026 Licensees were reminded of Mandated Reporter Training (AB1207) and CPR/First aid certifications needs to be renewed every two years. A copy of the licensees immunization is on file. The Licensees conduct and documented disaster drills and the last one was conducted on 07/23/25. LPA reviewed two children’s files, and they have all required documentation. LPA reviewed licensees files and they have all required documentation.
All cribs or play yards meet the safety standards. The mattresses in the crib or play yards are firm and covered with a fitted sheet that is appropriate, fits tightly, and overlaps the underside of the mattress. Each infant’s bedding is used for them only and cleaned weekly or before use by another infant. There are no loose articles and objects, bumper guards or objects hanging above or attached to the side of the cribs or play yards.
Forms of discipline to be used by Licensees are redirecting and talking with the child. Licensees understand that children's personal rights should not be violated, including but not limited to, no corporal punishment, interference with eating, sleeping, intimidation, or other actions of a punitive nature. Children are treated with dignity, and receive safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations.
Licensees were reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
During the exit interview, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. Megan's Law was checked on 09/03/2025.
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensees, Marisol Gomez and Lisette Gomez and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensees, Marisol Gomez and Lisette Gomez of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
