32 | They stated that the bathroom door stays closed so children cannot go inside the classroom. Near the front door there are two teachers present; one is the counter who counts and records the number of kids plus another staff who stands near the gate to check for runners. They make sure parents close the gate when entering and leaving the classroom. Staff stated that sometimes a kid runs, and staff run behind them to get them.
When they have an incident, they send a message through Brightwheel to inform parents. The kinds of incidents they report to parents cover injuries and behavioral situations. They inform parents at pick up as well. For incidents, they take pictures and send them to management to report it and call parents if needed. They inform parents at pick-up. Staff stated that teachers do not sign incident reports. They are only signed by management.
Based on parent interviews, they have not observed any child left unsupervised at this facility. When there is an injury/incident staff call or message. They send a picture of the injury through the school portal (Brightwheel) and they sign the report at pick up. They stated no when asked if child (ren) has come home with any unexplained injuries.
Based on interviews conducted, and evidence gathered at this time, it is concluded that although the allegations listed above may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur. The allegations are thus UNSUBSTANTIATED.
