25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Janette Cruz and Harsimran Kaur conducted an unannounced case management inspection in response to a request for change of capacity from 24 to 45 school age children in classrooms 1 and 2. LPAs met with Dieu Mi Le, Director and explained to her purpose of today’s inspection. The school-age program currently serves children ages kindergarten to 12 years in room 1. The facility also has a licensed preschool program (# 434416196) on rooms 2,3,6,7,8 & 9 and infant program (#434416197) on rooms 4 & 5 within the same premises. The Facility received a fire safety inspection approval from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety for the change of capacity on 08/01/24. Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. LPAs toured and measured the indoor and outdoor areas of the facility during today's inspection. The facility has a total of 2 school-age classrooms (rooms 1 & 2). There were no school-age children present at the time of inspection.

The Indoor total measurements contain a total of {1654.79} square feet, which will accommodate Applicant's request for 45 school-age children.

Outdoor total measurements contain a total of {6766.74} square feet, which will accommodate Applicant’s request for 45 school-age children.
LPAs observed that items that may pose a danger to children were stored inaccessible to children. Furniture, such as tables and chairs are available for children. The facility has adequate number of toilets, sinks and supplies for the requested capacity. There are 3 sinks and 3 toilets designated for school-age children use. LPAs advised that toilet facilities shall not be used simultaneously by children of both sexes. Director submitted a plan for shared use of toilets between school age boys and girls to ensure individual privacy. LPAs observed outdoor activity space provided for school-age children is physically separated from space provided for preschool and infant children. |
