25 | On 3/24/2026, Licensing Program Analyst(LPA) conducted an Unannounced Annual Random Inspection. Licensee has submitted an application to increase the capacity to a Large Family Day Care- 14 capacity. Fire clearance was granted on 3/11/26. LPA was greeted by Licensee Srimathi Panneer Pandi who was supervising three infant age and one preschool aged children. During the course of this inspection, one staff arrived to assist with the supervision of the children. Last disaster drill was conducted on 9/26/25. Facility operating hours is from Monday- Friday, 9am-6:00pm, serving ages 10 months-12 years of age. Other adult(s) residing at the facility, is Licensee's husband. LPA observed a current children's roster.
Licensee were reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA toured the facility with Licensee. The home is one story and there are no stairs inside the home. There are no fireplace or wall heater units inside the home. Off limit areas inside the home: Bedrooms 1 & 2, two locked bathroom cabinets, and three locked kitchen cabinets. Children have access to the kitchen, front living room, hallway bathroom, and the day care room(back room). Off limit areas outside the home: front yard, and a portion of the backyard area, which includes a detached garage. Children have a portion of the backyard, which has absorbent material underneath play structure. The backyard is secured with a fence. LPA observed charged Fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon detector. The home is clean, orderly, including heating and ventilation, for safety & comfort. LPA observed sufficient toys, supplies, and equipment for the day care children indoors and outdoors. Licensee understands that she understands that she must be present in the home at least 80% of the operating hours of the day care on a daily basis and ensure that the children are supervised at all times
