Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) James Santos conducted an unannounced inspection of the facility today and met with Director, Chanel Roland. The inspection is in response to facility’s request for an increase in the Preschool License capacity from 60 to 80 preschool children. Fire inspection was conducted on 9/21/2022 and clearance granted and approved for center in Rooms 1,2,3 and 4 for up to 80 children.

LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the facility during today's inspection and was observed to be in good order. The facility did not add space or made any structural changes to the physical plant to accommodate for the increase in capacity to 80. The facility was also approved for a capacity increase of 60 in 2021, and the measurement is good for up to 80 children.

Classroom 4: (787.50 sq. ft) – (9.47 sq. ft.)= 797.53 sq. ft
Library (area) (174.48 sq. ft.) - (39.77 sq. ft.) = 134.71

Total Preschool Indoor Activity Space = (2878.12 sq. ft.) divided by (35 sq. ft. / child) = 82 Preschool children
There are 7(105) sinks and 5 (75) toilets designated for Preschool children to use.

The facility has adequate number of toilets, sinks and supplies for the requested capacity.

The outdoor area is fully fenced an was observed to be free of any hazards. The outdoor activity space is equipped with age-appropriate equipment such as a play structure, sandbox and canopy for shade.

Preschool Yard:
= (Total sq. ft.) – (Total Encumbered Space)
= (440.79 sq. ft) - (9.1 sq. ft.) = 431.69 sq. ft. + 3,505.23 sq. ft. + 2067.76 sq. ft.
=6,004.68 sq. ft.

Total Preschool Outdoor Activity Space = (6,004.68 sq. ft.) divided by (75 sq. ft. / child) = 80 Children

Based on today's inspection, the physical plant meets the requirement of an increase in capacity that will equate to a total of 80 preschool children.


Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed and a copy was provided to Director,
Chanel Roland. LPA advised Director that the increase in capacity request will be submitted to Management for final review and approval.

No deficiencies cited during today's inspection.

A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS GIVEN AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
