LPA explained the purpose of the visit and inspected the facility inside and out. The inspection is in response to facility’s request for an increase in the Preschool License capacity from 30 to 60 preschool children. A fire clearance has been granted on 06/16/21 for the preschool to have a capacity of 60 children. There were 18 children in census during todays inspection with 4 teachers. The operational hours of the school are Monday through Friday from 07:00AM to 06:00PM, serving children ages 2 years to entry into 1^st grade. the facility's phone # (408) 412-8655. The facility did not construct additional space or make any structural changes to the physical plant to accommodate for the increase in capacity. However, per measurement taken of the indoor activity space during the Department's Pre-Licensing inspection on 10/29/2020, facility has indoor activity space for 82 preschool children. Also, the facility has an adequate number of toilets, sinks and supplies for the requested capacity. Preschool Classroom = (Total sq. ft.) – (Total Encumbered Space) Classroom 1: (692 sq. ft) Classroom 2: (664.91sq.ft) Classroom 3: (669.36 sq. ft) Classroom 4: (787.50 sq. ft) – (9.47 sq. ft.)= 797.53 sq. ft Library (area) (174.48 sq. ft.) - (39.77 sq. ft.) = 134.71 *Total Preschool Indoor Activity Space = (2878.12 sq. ft.) divided by (35 sq. ft. / child) = 82 Preschool children* There are 7(105) sinks and 5 (75) toilets designated for Preschool children to use.

LPA observed a fully fenced play yards in the front and back of facility. The outdoor activity space is equipped with age-appropriate toys and equipment such as a play structure, sandbox, and canopy for shade. Water is made available to the children via water pitch and/or water bottles.

Preschool Yard:
= (Total sq. ft.) – (Total Encumbered Space)
= (440.79 sq. ft) - (9.1 sq. ft.) = 431.69 sq. ft. + 3,505.23 sq. ft. + 2067.76 sq. ft.
=6,004.68 sq. ft.

Total Preschool Outdoor Activity Space = (6,004.68 sq. ft.) divided by (75 sq. ft. / child) = 80 Children

Based on today's inspection, the physical plant meets the requirement of an increase in capacity that will equate to a total of 60 preschool children.

Exit interview was conducted, where this report was reviewed with Director Chanel Roland Increase in capacity request will be submitted to Licensing Management for the final stage of review and approval .
