25 | Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Joel Segura, and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marilou Monico, met with Licensee, Racel Rosier, and Licensee's husband, Randal Rosier, at the San Jose Regional Office today for a scheduled Informal Meeting. The purpose of today's meeting is to discuss the Licensee's compliance and ability to follow the Title 22 Regulations.
This Informal Meeting is a result of the following citations:
02/28/23 - Section 102417(a) - Operation of a Family Child Care Home - On 02/07/23, a day-care child wandered outside the facility and found by a parent who was picking up a child.
02/28/23 - Section 102416.2(b)(2) - Reporting Requirements - An incident occurred on 02/07/23 in which a child wandered outside of the facility was not reported to Licensing.
LPM explained to Licensee and her husband that if there are continued deficiencies cited for the issues noted on this report, the Facility may be referred to legal department for possible administrative action, which could include revocation of the Facility license. The facility will be monitored for the next 12 months to ensure that the facility is in compliance with the department regulations.
Licensee agreed to increase supervision, frequent headcounts, staff need to spread out in the backyard/playground to observe the children, and to check gates and doors to ensure they are closed. Licensee agreed to report unusual incidents to Licensing within the Department's next business day followed by a written report within seven days following the occurrence.
Assembly Bill 633 (Child Care Parent Notification Requirements) and Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224) was also explained and provided to Licensee during today’s meeting. |
