25 | Licensing Program Analyst Pietro Hernandez conducted a Scheduled Pre licensing Case Management - other visit and was greeted by Kavita Sreeram. Applicant has submitted an application for a large family day care for Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm, Fire Clearance was granted on 1/14/22. Applicant lives in her home with her husband Naga Mahesh Sreeram and her two adult children Pallavi Sreeram and Naga Raghay. They own the home. Which has a swimming pool. The back yard is off limits but they are still required to meet the minimum standards as stated in Title 22.
The initial Pre licensing visit the LPA observed the protective fence surrounding the swimming pool was only 4 feet in height. The purpose of this subsequent visit to the Applicant's home was to observe the newly replaced fence surrounding the pool is at least 5 feet in height.
LPA Pete Hernandez measured and observed the new fencing at 5 feet in height. This is contestant with the Title 22 requirements. The pool door also swings away from the pool and the latch is no more than 6 inches from the top of the pool access door. As one of the corrections the LPA was to personally observe the new section of the pool fence which was tightened and observed to have a top sping latch that was drilled into the post and securely affixed to the segment of fencing. LPA observed the fence to be secure and within Title 22 regulation.
The back yard will remain off limits and the doors will be locked during child care operation hours.
A large family child care home license will be granted upon manager's review. |
