On 5/27/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Liridon Fici (Doni) conducted an unannounced Complaint Investigation and met with Director, Smitaben Mistry “ Sneha” and informed her of the purpose of today’s visit. LPA also gathered a census of children.

During the course of the investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff and obtained documents.

It was alleged that staff force infants to nap by patting or striking their heads and that staff are hitting children under the camera. Based on interviews conducted, staff stated that infants are not forced to take naps. Staff reported that they use soothing strategies, such as gently patting an infant’s thigh or back to help the infant fall asleep. Staff also stated that feeding infant milk may help the infant nap. Staff interviewed stated they have not witnessed any staff member hit a child in care.

LPA asked the Licensee if there were any recordings from March 24, 2026, in the infant classroom, and the Licensee stated that no recordings were available.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS GIVEN AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Beri, Aakriti along with appeal rights provided.
