32 | Facility Representatives were reminded that all adults 18 and over, responsible for the administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPAs reviewed with Facility Representatives the LIC 311A, Records to Be Maintained at The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. Facility Representatives were informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and resource and referral agencies (R&R) throughout California.
Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. To receive important licensed-related information to licensed facilities, visit the CCLD Important Information website at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing/subscribe and select the Child Care option to receive email communication.
LPAs advised Facility Representatives that a license for 24 Preschool children will be submitted to Licensing Management for the final stage of approval upon receiving the following items:
1) Photo showing that the irrigation control valve cover had been replaced.
2) Board Resolution, updated list of furniture and equipment, and proof of purchase of 12 additional mats/cots.
3) Updated Monthly Operating Statement (LIC 401) and Personnel Report (LIC 500).
4) Fingerprint clearance transfer for the Applicant Representative and Site Director.
5) Proof that at least one staff member who will be working on-site has completed the Lead Poisoning. Prevention training and Mandated Reporter Training certificate (AB1207) for the Site Director.
6) Revised job descriptions for the Master Teacher/Site Director and Associate Teacher.
7) Approved playground waiver.
