Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anna Morales met with Program Director Gloria Lopez. The facility is licensed to serve children ages 2 years to entry into first grade in Room 1. LPA observed all the required posted materials near the front entrance to the facility, including Waiver for Shared Playground. Snack and lunch menus were observed to be posted in the kitchen. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:15am to 3:15pm. LPA observed a current children’s roster. Last disaster drill was conducted on 11/21/24. Children sign in and out procedures and logs were reviewed. Facility was in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement. Children were free play under the visual supervision of staff.

LPA observed a 3A40BC fire extinguisher, functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the room. LPA observed container with tight-fitting lid for the disposal of solid waste. LPA observed appropriate lighting in the classroom. The facility has central heating and air conditioning. First aid supplies are located in the classroom and in the Nurse's Office. Cleaning products are stored in the upper shelve in the classroom inaccessible to children. Facility Representatives indicated that there are no weapons or firearms on the premises. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided by the school district.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Preschool children share the playground with the TK/Kindergarten students of Ben Painter Elem. School at different times, and have a waiver on file. LPA observed that the playground is surrounded by appropriate fencing and the outdoor surfaces are safe. Shade is provided by trees and building overhang. The areas under and around the play structure is cushioned with resilient material (tanbark) that will absorb a fall. Drinking water is provided via individual water bottles. There were no bodies of water observed.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and

A sampling of children and staff files was taken for review during today's inspection. Children records reviewed include Admission Agreement, Identification and Emergency Contact, Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment form, receipt of Parent Rights Notice, Personal Rights Notice, Medical Assessment and Immunization.

Staff records reviewed include Criminal Record and Child Abuse Index Clearance, Health Screening Report and TB test, Immunization (Measles, Pertussis, and Flu) record and required Training. LPA reminded Director that the online AB1207 Mandated Reported Training needs to be renewed every two years. There was at least one person with current certification in Pediatric CPR and First Aid present at the facility. .

Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

As a result of today's inspection, there were no deficiencies cited. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Program Director Gloria Lopez. LPA reminded the Director to ensure that all staff who are present must be associated to the facility prior to working at the Center.
